161st STATED MEETING OF PALO DURO PRESBYTERY
If your church has not registered its commissioner(s) for the 161st Stated Meeting of Palo Duro Presbytery, it is time to do so. Click here for REGISTRATION FORMS. Please send your registration to Union Presbyterian Church in Brownwood no later than April 19. The email and snail mail addresses are printed at the bottom of the registration form.
The theme of this meeting is “Communion Made Possible.” Rev. Lemuel Garcia, Ministry Engagement Advisor for the PC(USA), will be our guest speaker.
A special roundtable event is scheduled for Saturday morning; attendees are asked to bring their Bibles. We will create 350 Hygiene Kits for Presbyterian Disaster Response. To accomplish this, our Common Life Ministry is asking each of the four areas of PDP to provide two items for each of the 350 kits. This is not only an opportunity to help people experiencing disasters, but it is also a great time to work together with our neighboring churches! Please look at the photo on the left for details.
In addition to our regular business (which is expected to be brief), we will take a moment to remember our ministers, elders, and deacons who joined the Church Triumphant in 2024, and we will announce the newest recipients of the Celebration Scholarship.
