IMAGINING OUR FUTURE TOGETHER — WE NEED YOUR INPUT

The EPNC has begun its work, and Pastor Joe Gambill will serve as the committee moderator.  As we begin developing the job description, or Ministry Discernment Profile (MDP), for the next Executive Presbyter of Palo Duro Presbytery, an important part of our work is listening to the congregations and leaders of the presbytery.

As we look toward the future, we recognize that our presbytery’s needs continue to change and that the role of Executive Presbyter does not necessarily have to look exactly as it has in the past.  We are not beginning with a predetermined model or format.  Instead, we want to listen carefully and discern together what kind of leadership will best serve Palo Duro Presbytery in the years ahead.

For that reason, we invite all presbyters, commissioned pastors, elders, and members of our congregations to prayerfully consider and respond to the following questions:

  1.      What are the needs of Palo Duro Presbytery going forward?
  1.      What are the most important characteristics you believe an Executive Presbyter should have to lead Palo Duro Presbytery into the future?

In addition to these questions, we welcome any other thoughts, hopes, or ideas you would like to share.  Your input will help the EPNC think broadly and faithfully about the possibilities before us and the leadership our presbytery will need for its next season of ministry.

Please send your responses to the presbytery office at melissa@paloduropresbytery.org by September 25.  Those attending the presbytery meeting on September 25 will also have an opportunity to offer their input.
